This single malt whisky is matured in a higher proportion of sherry than the regular 12 year old, thus imparting more sweetness which very well complements Bowmore’s trademark peaty smokiness and delicate sea-spray. Very different from the standard 12 year old, but still just as good, if not a little bit better.
Bowmore Enigma is a 12-year-old expression with a higher proportion of sherry matured whisky than the standard bottling. Bottled for the travel retail market, this is rich with treacly sweetness and dark chocolate.
